HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Simplified Social was created in 2015 after our Founder, Alex was working extensively within the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Alberta. After facilitating countless workshops and advising sessions for entrepreneurs, Alex realized an imminent need in the market for education and support for businesses when it came to social media and marketing in general.

In the last four years, Simplified Social has grown to a team of three full-time employees and two contractors. We have serviced over 50 unique companies in the last four years that range from home renovation companies to non-profits to larger organizations with full-scale marketing departments that need our support.

In 2019, Simplified Social officially expanded their service offerings to Kelowna, BC. We have always had a soft spot for the west coast and our excited to work with new clients in this marketplace.

 
 
 

An Idea is born

2015

Alex is working at a non-profit training entrepreneurs on business planning, marketing and social media. The requests for her to help in a hands-on capacity with business owners and their social accounts keeps growing. In November 2015, we register our Trade Name for Simplified Social.

The Side Hustle

2015-2017

Simplified Social begins operations with clients primarily in Edmonton and Calgary. Alex continues to work full-time while running Simplified Social on the side. The demand for services increases and by 2017, Alex realizes she needs to focus on Simplified Social full-time.

It's official

2018

In May 2018, Alex officially steps away from her other role to pursue Simplified Social on a full-time basis. By November, Ally joins the team and supports with client management, social accounts and content creation.

TODAY

2019

Simplified Social continues to grow with the addition of new clients, a new employee, Jenaya and two other contractors. Simplified Social begins to launch a new office in Kelowna, BC in addition to keeping their Edmonton office in full-swing.
